Danceworx Classes

The Danceworx Dance Factory offers Dance classes in a variety of dance styles in a number of Cornish towns. Please use the red links in the table below for details of locations and classes.

All Danceworx’s dance classes have one and sometimes two of our professionally qualified teachers to teach you some of our specially choreographed routines.   We never leave our classes to be taught by older pupils of the dance school, no matter how good a dancer they may be, as they don’t have the knowledge of how to teach safely and, if they don’t have teaching qualifications, would not be insured to teach either.  Please be careful when choosing your dance classes as there are no government rules on who can set them up!

Once you have mastered the dance routine and all the steps are in the right place, you will learn how to use expression in your dance moves to make the dances come alive.

Danceworx dance classes can be one hour of fun fitness or just a hobby but, if you want to take things a little further and progress on from your weekly class, you can also take part in local and national competitions and/or take your medals and grades with the I.S.T.D. (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) or I.D.T.A. (International Dance Teachers Association). These range from Under 6 medals for our Boogie Babies up to Imperial Award, and grades up to GSCE level in dance. Alternatively become a member of a performance team and take part in national competitions and shows around the Cornwall.
